January 2023

Happy New Year from your friends at Earlysville Animal Hospital.

We are so excited to invite you back into the hospital even though our renovations aren’t quite finished.

This renovation is helping us improve the way we care for your pet using Fear Free Pets and Cat Friendly Practice guidelines.

Please call us when you arrive for your appointment and wait in your car. One of our staff members will come out to greet you and show you and your pet into an exam room.

We have learned the waiting room is a scary place for many pets and their visit with us starts out better if we can skip that step.

If you are picking up food or medication, please come on in!

Congratulations

Be sure to congratulate Ashley on her recent graduation from the Veterinary Technician program at San Juan College. She successfully passed the Veterinary Technician National Exam and is now a Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT). She studied hard for four years while being mentored by our fabulous Technicians, Catherine, Melanie, and Hillery. We are so proud of her.

Remember all dogs and cats need monthly heartworm and tick prevention all year round. Mosquitoes that spread heartworm disease and ticks that infect our pets with Lyme Disease, Ehrlichia, Anaplasma and Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever hibernate during cold weather and become active when we have warmer winter days. We now have safe and effective products that combine heartworm and tick prevention in one easy-to-give monthly dose for dogs and cats.
