Victoria Dye, DVM
Veterinarian
Born in Seattle, WA, Dr. Vicky Dye, was the second unexpected child along with an older sister, German Shepherd, and an elderly Siamese she used to torment relentlessly as a toddler. Her family then moved to Alexandria, VA where she was raised with more animals that she loved to practice her early veterinary skills on. There really wasn’t good flea control back then!
Dr. Vicky attended Virginia Tech for undergraduate and veterinary school, graduating in 1994. It was at Tech she became involved with a medieval recreation group that she is still active in today and has many close friendships as a result. It was through her involvement with fencing in this group that she met her husband. Working exclusively in Virginia, she has worked in a small number of clinics over the years doing part-time work while also working in her photography business teaching others the joys of the camera. Her first love, after her husband, of course, are cats and feline medicine along with educating clients about keeping our pets healthy and happy. She also enjoys dentistry and internal medicine. She’s a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, Veterinary Information Network and is a member of the American Association of Feline Practitioners.
When not working she shares her time with her husband Harvey and cats, Buggs, Opal, and Onxy, Comet Egon, Honey Bee and a variety of fish. She’s a Rivanna Master Naturalist working on documenting vernal pools and salamanders in the area and monitoring blue bird nesting boxes, as well as pursuing nature and wildlife photography.
